Basil is in season all summer long, so why not make your own pesto? It's easy to make with a food processor, and delicious in many different dishes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic
  1. Step 1

    Combine the garlic, basil, olive oil, parmesan, and pine nuts in a blender or food processor.

  2. Step 2

    Puree until completely smooth.

  3. Step 3

    Toss pesto with whole grain pasta, use as a salad dressing, on pizza, or as a dipping sauce for fresh bread.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep refridgerated
