    • 2

Tie the string around the center of the rolled paper towel.

    • 3

Tie the other end of the string around the nail. ( A screw or other small household item can be substituted.)

    • 4

Spray a generous amount of WD-40 on the paper towel and bend the paper towel in half at the point the string is tied.

    • 5

Open the chamber of the shotgun.

    • 6

Drop the end of the string with the nail attached into the chamber and feed it down until it comes out the end of the gun barrel.

    • 7

Pull the paper towel through the gun barrel to remove burnt powder and rust.

    • 8

Repeat these steps until barrel is clean.

    • 9

After the barrel is clean of powder, pull a dry paper towel without WD40 through the barrel.

    • 10

Take a paper towel, apply small amount of WD40, and wipe off the metal on the outside of the gun.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always pull the paper towel from the chamber to the end of the gun barrel. If done in reverse, the used gun powder will fall into the gun chamber.

  • ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE GUN IS UNLOADED FIRST.
