How to make Homemade Floam

Floam Balloon.

Children and parents alike have fallen in love with the look and the feel of Floam. Floam is a type of a squishy toy that provides hours of endless entertainment for kids of all ages. With this homemade version of Floam, you're guaranteed hours of fun!

Things You'll Need

• 2 (3 mm) Styrofoam beads
• 3 tsp. of borax or baking powder
• Large balloon
• 1 cup of cold water
• 1/4 cup of glue
• Large mixing bowl
• Spoon

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the borax and 1/2 cup of water and allow the borax to completely dissolve.

2. Add the glue and the remaining water to the large bowl and mix well with a spoon.

3. Add Styrofoam beads to the mixture and mix well with a spoon.

4. Pour mixture into a large balloon and tie the balloon to form a knot, allowing the Floam to move freely inside.

Tips & Warnings

• Keep the Floam secured properly to prevent the air from drying it out.

• When not in use, store the Floam in a cool, dry place to prevent added moisture from getting in.

• Keep water at room temperature when mixing ingredients.

• Discard the Floam mixture after 60 days.

• Do not allow small children to play with the Floam unattended, as the ingredients could cause harm if swallowed.
