1. HOW WIRELESS AMBER ALERTS ARE SENT: Law enforcement is notified, and verifies that the abduction meets AMBER Alert criteria. Law enforcement issues an AMBER Alert and provides the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) with the information. NCMEC formats the AMBER Alert message and sends it to Syniverse. 2. HOW TO SIGN UP: Visit website in the resource box below. Submit your wireless phone number. Read terms and conditions, press ACCEPT. Press "Complete Subscription". Enter your ZIP. Select a password. That's it! You will only receive AMBER Alerts for your area, and you might help save a life.

3. HOW WIRELESS AMBER ALERTS AFFECT YOUR PHONE: After you've signed up to receive Alerts, you will receive a text message welcoming you to the program. Wireless AMBER Alerts will be a text message and will appear on your wireless device in the same manner as any other text message. You will receive a text message notifying you when the AMBER Alert is cancelled. You will only receive AMBER Alerts from us.
