Things You'll Need:
- a boar bristle hairbrush
- a prong hairbrush
- natural shampoo
-
Step 1
Don't wash your hair! Only wash it every 3rd to 4th day. This will keep your hair from losing its valuable oils that nourish and protect the hair shafts. Keep you hair in braids during the 3-4 day.
-
Step 2
Rub a prong brush all around your scalp to activate the hair follicles into producing more hair, and to make the hair grow faster. Massage it all around your scalp for about 10 minutes every day.
-
Step 3
Brush your hair from root to tip using your boar bristle brush to pull the oils of the roots down to the ends. This will keep your hair healthy and moisturized. 100 strokes!
-
Step 4
Buy and use a natural shampoo when it is time to wash your hair. Find one that sues natural ingredients instead of chemicals, perfumes, or dyes.

on 2/2/2009 Don't think women are the only ones trying to grow a long, full head of hair! While neglecting to wash your hair may cause some dating issues, it really is effective. However, men can augment this effect by wearing their hair slicked back under a hat several hours a day. I believe this method would be the male equivalent of braiding, as it keeps tension on the hair much the same way braiding would, effectively "pulling" the hair longer. Several men I've discussed this with, including a co-worker, observed similar results. And, although I have no evidence to support it, rumor has it that "horse mane shampoo" may speed hair growth and add body and shine to your hair. Follow safety instructions and use common sense in adjusting for human use.

on 10/16/2008 I have really long hair and I wouldn't recommend step number 2. Rubbing a brush around my scalp will create a horrible mess of tangles! Not only will it tangle, but ruin, break and damage the hair. I suggest using your fingers to massage the scalp in order to increase circulation. You can't always follow what you read.
Please use common sense.
