-
Step 1
Go to the website craigslist.org. It is free to use any aspect of Craigslist including placing ads, replying to ads, or just searching and browsing.

Step 4
Scan through the items to see what is up for grabs. You'll find everything from fire wood, electronics, furniture, clothing, baby items, and of course, junk.

on 1/31/2009 I was able to pick up an old solid wood Bombay chest on craigslist and with a little tender love and decorative stencils it was beautiful. I'm sure someone on ebay would treasure this chest. Thanks for the tips! 5*

on 10/17/2008 Awesome idea that I'd never considered. I've done this with items from thrift stores (AMAZING source for bargains by the way) but this is an untapped resource for me up till now. Thanks!
