Things You'll Need:
- internet access
- a photo of yourself or your company's logo
-
Step 1
To create a Myspace account, first sign up with www.myspace.com by simply following the registration procedures that follow after clicking upon the "sign up" link. This is where you will recieve instructions on entering personal information and your picture or logo.
-
Step 2
You now have a generic Myspace account. To personalize the background to suit your tastes and purpose, visit a site such as www.getonmyspace.com and select a Myspace layout that appeals to you. When you have found your layout, simple copy the code provided for it and return to your Myspace account.
-
Step 3
To implement your new code, go to your profile and click on "Edit." Here, you will be taken to different sections of your profile where text or codes can be implemented. In the "About Me" section of your Myspace profile, enter your new layout code and hit "Save All Changes." Hit the "home" button and click on your logo or picture to see your new Myspace layout.
-
Step 4
Next, you can begin adding text to your Myspace page. Go back to your profile page ("home") and click on "Edit" once again. You can fill in as many sections as you like with personal information. You can also enter code for comments and/or sign up forms. Visit www.justcomments.com for Myspace comment samples that can liven up your page.
-
Step 5
Finally, begin using the powerful and free networking tools that Myspace provides by reaching out and creating "friends." Start by putting a word into the search box such as "female," "business," or "fashion." Click on anyone who might be a good target and make a friend request by visiting their profile page and clicking on "add me" or "friend me" (or any equivalent phrase). Repeat the process until you are satisfied with the number of individuals on your list.
