  1. Step 1

    Don't listen when people tell you not to worry. Worry! Even if there's nothing you can do about a situation, it can be made better by worrying. Worry about every possible "what if" situation- even the ones that involve aliens or the pinhead guy from Hellraiser.

  2. Step 2

    Believe that things will never get better. You know how your friends are always saying that things will get better? They never will. Ever. All that matters is this single moment, and in this moment there is trouble. Dwell on that.

  3. Step 3

    Stop trying to calm yourself. Breathing exercises and mediation will only work to quell to panic. Resist them! Let the worry and agitation have free reign in your mind until you have a full-blown panic attack. Only then is the panic truly in control.

  4. Step 4

    Resist any type of support from anyone. If family and friends want to help you, believe that no one can help and continue panicking. During panic attacks, never call or talk to anyone who could support you. Make your panic attacks last longer by never reaching out for help.
