Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • e flat alto saxophone
  • mouthpiece
  • reed
  • ligature
  • neckstrap
  • comfortable chair with a back
  1. Step 1

    Sit up straight in a chair, feet flat on the floor about 1 feet apart, and your back slightly away from the back of the chair. place saxophone mouthpiece in your mouth and hold the saxophone upright with arm spreaded about 6 to 8 inches from your sides.

  2. Step 2

    Adjust neckstrap to height that is needed.

  3. Step 3

    Take a deep breath and fill up your lungs with air, and blow into the mothpiece while slightly biting on the mouthpiece, this should give you your first note, and if done correctly you will also be on pitch.
