How to Strip Impurities from Your Hair

Your hair collects impurities from hard water in the form of minerals. The kind of shampoo and condition you use on your hair may also over time build up a waxy layer. Chlorine from swimming pools also effect your hair.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The easiest and most cost-effective way to strip impurities from your hair is to occasionally wash your hair with baking soda.

  2. Step 2

You can create a paste with the baking soda and water and then rub it into your hair. Leaving it on for a few moments, rinse and continue to wash your hair as usual.

  3. Step 3

You can also mix the baking soda with your shampoo and wash as normal. I prefer the first method as some shampoos might create a chemical reaction with the baking soda creating an ammonia smell.
