Things You'll Need:
- A cat
- Cat hairbrush
- Kitty treats (optional)
- Tape roller
-
Step 1
Sleeker summer coatThe simple solution to your cat hair problems is to brush the cat a couple of times a day. It will make a HUGE difference! Plus your cat will have no more hair balls.
-
Step 2
If you have an outdoor cat, this serves two purposes: first, you get all the grass seeds and debris off the kitty before she/he brings it into the house, and secondly, you will no longer have kitty hairs all over your clothes, chairs, couches, bedding and so on. So just brush the kitty almost every time it comes inside.
-
Step 3
If you have an indoor cat, just brush it in the morning and night.
-
Step 4
If your cat doesn't like to be brushed, introduce it slowly. Itch behind its ears, and under the collar, and then start gently brushing in that area. Soon kitty's smell will be all over the brush and it won't mind it at all. Give the cat a treat to help convince it that brushing is a good thing. Our kitty loves being brushed- and she was a stray when we "rescued" her, so she was completely unfamiliar w/ being brushed. If there is a few stray hairs on my clothes or a chair she always sits on, then I use the tape roller thing to pick-up the fur.
