How to Make Stone or Ceramic Drink Coasters

This fun project is simple enough for young and old alike. Make custom drink coasters and save your furniture from unsightly glass rings.
These make wonderful and inexpensive gifts.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 - 4" x 4" stone or ceramic tiles from any tile or hardware store
  • 2 - 12" x 12" peel and stick lamenate flooring tiles
  • tape measure or ruler
  • straight edge
  • pencil
  • razor knife (keep away from children!)
  1. Step 1

    Use the razor knife and straight edge to cut the peel and stick tiles into 4 3" x 3" squares.

    Put razor knife away from work area.

  2. Step 2

    Peel backing away from peel and stick square and center onto back of stone or ceramic tile.

  3. Step 3

    Repeat until all 8 coasters are complete.

  4. Step 4

    The soft surface is the underside and will protect table tops from scratching.

    Customize for individuals to match their decor and watch them enjoy their coasters for years to come.
