This fun project is simple enough for young and old alike. Make custom drink coasters and save your furniture from unsightly glass rings. These make wonderful and inexpensive gifts.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 8 - 4" x 4" stone or ceramic tiles from any tile or hardware store
  • 2 - 12" x 12" peel and stick lamenate flooring tiles
  • tape measure or ruler
  • straight edge
  • pencil
  • razor knife (keep away from children!)

Step1
Use the razor knife and straight edge to cut the peel and stick tiles into 4 3" x 3" squares.

Put razor knife away from work area.
Step2
Peel backing away from peel and stick square and center onto back of stone or ceramic tile.
Step3
Repeat until all 8 coasters are complete.
Step4
The soft surface is the underside and will protect table tops from scratching.

Customize for individuals to match their decor and watch them enjoy their coasters for years to come.
