How to Cure Athlete's Foot with Essential Oils

Athlete's foot is a fungal infection of the skin on the foot. Fungus thrives in damp areas without proper air circulation. You can cure athlete's foot and prevent it's return by following a few simple steps.

        Keep the effected foot uncovered as often as possible. Air needs to be able to get to the area. When you must wear shoes, wear cotton socks and shoes that allow air to circulate around the foot.

        Wash the foot and pat dry with a clean, white, cotton towel.

        Mix 25 drops of Tea Tree essential oil with 2 tablespoons of carrier oil, such as olive oil, or regular vegetable oil. Shake well. Tea tree oil combats the fungus which causes athlete's foot.

        Dip a cotton ball in the oil mixture. Apply it to the foot 2 to 3 times per day.
