Cooking homemade chicken noodle soup is very time consuming, but is much better than store bought soup. With a little extra time, and some TLC, you will be glad you made this healthy and homemade dish!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 large split chicken breasts
  • 1 package of egg noodles
  • chicken broth
  • salt and pepper
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to do is bring water to a boil in a large stock pot. Once boiling rather vigorously, place the chicken breasts in and let cook for about 45 minutes. This will assure you the chicken is done and very tender.

  2. Step 2

When the chicken is almost done, start to cook the egg noodles in a separate dish, just to get them started. They will finish cooking with the chicken broth. The pot on the left has my noodles, and on the right is where I am cooking the chicken, and where I will finish the soup.

  3. Step 3

Now drain the chicken, and tear off the white meat from the bone. You can either cut it up well, leaving it chunky, or place it in a mixer to finely chop it up.

  4. Step 4

Now, drain the water you boiled the chicken with into a colander to get rid of the parts of the chicken that cooked off, and mix with a can of chicken broth, the noodles, and add a little salt and pepper to taste. I can promise this will be the best soup you have ever had!
