Step1
Step #1: Choose Your Topic
The first thing you want to do is decide what topic you will be creating your audio products around. Do your research. Visit different forums and see what people are talking about. Read several different publications. Do keyword research and figure out what people are searching for.
Once you have found a topic you want to use for your audio product start looking for additional information you can add. By adding different types of PLR products you are creating a unique product that is not available anywhere else.
Step2
Step #2: Decide how you will use it
The next thing you want to do is figure out how you will use your audio product. Do you want to sell it as a digital audio product? Do you want to give it away as a list builder? Do you want to offer it as a physical product or a front end product?
Let’s look at these in further detail:
Sell it as digital or physical product – An audio product has a value much greater than a regular ebook. The average price of an ebook these days is about $27. That same $27 ebook could sell for around $67 as a digital audio product or maybe even $97 as a physical audio product. You can make at least $40 more just buy putting in a little extra work. If you want to be able to reach a much broader audience then consider offering your product as both an ebook version and an audio version.
Give it away as a list builder - Free giveaways are a way to build any list. Give your potential customers a quality informative audio product in exchange for their name and email address. Give them just enough to make them want to come back for more.
Use it as a front end product – Using something as a front end product means you are selling it for much less than what it’s worth in an effort to create a list BUYERS. A list of proven buyers is important because those people are more likely to buy from you again. If they like what you had to offer the first time around then chances are they will be back for more.
Knowing how you will use your audio product is extremely important. It can determine things such as the length of the audio session.
Step3
Step #3: How will you present the information
Some people simply read the PLR content word for word others get more creative with the way they present their PLR content audio product. Here are a few different ways you can present your information.
Do an interview – Have a friend or relative interview about your topic. The idea here is to make you look like an expert. Arrange the questions ahead of time and have your answers already written out. Make sure you keep it very professional and on topic.
Have a question and answer session – Read through your PLR content and come up with a series of related questions. Then you will need to create a audio product where you ask and answer the questions.
Create a course – Turn your information into a course. Use the basic information as an introduction and then move into your other more advanced topics. Depending on the topic you choose you can even consider putting together some sort of study guide or worksheets to include with your audio product as a bonus.
Create a series – Some topics are best put together as a series instead of one super long audio product. Divide the content up. This will make it a lot easier for your customers to use it as a learning tool. It will also have a higher perceived value when you present it as a series.
Have a live session – If you are comfortable enough you can present your product in a live session. Invite everyone you know. Visit different forums and announce it so you can get some listeners. After you present the information invite the audience to ask questions.

Step #4: Get the right technology
Free teleconferencing services are very easy to find these days. A great one to use is Free Conferencing.
Free conferencing is free and very easy to use. They even offer the recordings at no additional charge. You can download the MP3 file then burn it to a CD and upload it your website. You can redo your recording as many times as you like since the line is free to use.
They offer a very 800 number service so just in case you need to conference in someone who is long distance you would only have to pay around $0.08 a minute to do so.
Step5
Step #5: Create a Transcript
An audio product that has a transcript included will sell for more than one that doesn’t have a transcript included.
iDictate is a very affordable service that will transcribe your MP3 files for you. Normally within 24 hours you will have a professional transcript. They charge you per word so it would be difficult to figure out how much you will be paying ahead of time.
