I'm sure you've all heard about or read many books pertaining to self-help. There have been myriad articles and publications regarding the topic of "creating your own reality, creating wealth and prosperity," etc., etc., the list goes on.

Things You’ll Need:

  • A positive attitude. An open mind.

Step1
Google as much information as you can about "Positive Thinking" and "Affirmations." Affirmations can be extremely powerful, whether it be a positive statement that you are directly bringing into your life, or whether it be a negative affirmation that you are indirectly and unknowingly inputting into your life; either way, Affirmations are REAL and can have a positive effect or an adverse effect on your life. Also, "google" information about the "Law of Attraction."

By researching the two aforementioned topics, "Positive Affirmations, (or Prosperity Affirmations) and the "Law of Attraction" you will get plenty of information pertaining to SELF HELP, MOTIVATION, SPIRITUALITY, so forth and so on; enough for you to put your very own "self-help" plan into action.
Step2
Find the words, sentiments, and guidelines that you like best and write them down (or type up in notepad or word, you can even copy and paste). Once you have your favorite affirmations and guidelines on paper, record them on cassette or CD. Gather enough positive, life-changing statements so you will have about 4 to 6 pages of affirmations, that way your recording will be at least 45 minutes. Simply read those affirmations in as positive, and as uplifting a voice as you possibly can. Read them slow and deliberate, but powerfully, and read as if the affirmation has already occurred, such as "I make $2500 per day" or "My income is much greater than my expenses, etc. It's best to make your recording while you're in a good mood, and a pleasant/peaceful frame of mind.
Step3
Every night as you are drifting off to sleep, listen to your tape or CD. Also listen to your tape or CD while you are driving. If you can, do away with the radio and just listen to your tape/CD while you drive. Cut down on TV too, if you can. Truth be told, that's been sort of my bugaboo; kind of hard to cut off "Sports Center." But it's "baby steps" ya know, because I am only on "Day 75," and "Day 75" leads to step 4.
Step4
Of the many affirmations that you have selected to be on your tape/CD, choose 10-15 and write them down in a journal (just get you a notepad or blank tablet specifically for this in order to keep up with your days - it's not deep fellas, I can hear all the guys now saying "journal" .. "what is this, Oprah" ?). Every day, write down 10-15 positive affirmations. When you start writing down your favorite 10-15 affirmations, show "Day 1" at the top of your paper. This takes about 10 minutes (depending upon how fast you write, and I suggest actually writing as opposed to typing) and I usually do this first thing every morning.
Step5
The last thing you should do is create a Power Point Presentation about Prosperity. Get some pictures off the Internet of a car you want, the dream house you want, even pictures of the type of man/woman you want (this excludes MARRIED PEOPLE). Pictures of what you want the inside of your home to look like; pictures of a particular city you want to move to one day, or pictures of an exotic vacation that you would like to take in the NEAR future. Set your kiosk (PPT Presentation) to "loop continuously" by selecting from the PowerPoint menu - Slide Show - Setup Show - and click the bullet that says "Browsed at Kiosk (full screen)." And your Prosperity PPT Presentation will run until you hit your escape key. So if you have a laptop, or your desktop happens to be near your bed, you can view your slide show while listening to your affirmations.
Step6
So now you are you listening to your self-made tape/CD; you're writing down your favorite 10-15 Prosperity Affirmations every single day, and you're viewing your Prosperity PPT Presentation 2-3 times daily, or more, because you can just allow it to run while you go about your daily chores. It's like having a screen saver, but with your future reality staring back at you.

What you are doing is "reprogramming your mind." You are changing your conscious mind through your subconscious mind by reprogramming your habits, your way of thinking, and ultimately, your life.

on 7/20/2008 Wonderful tips and reminders, number 5 is the one "affirmation" 90% of people just neglect to think about the visuals of affirmation. What better way to put in the cosmos what you want then to also visualize and physically see it before you as in on your wall when you wake up! Just not to let it be the first thought of the morning is that "thing" or "the things" on the wall. Good job Great create your reality pic too.
