Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- You!!
- support team
- your beautiful child
Step1
Ok, so you have gone through the nine months of carrying your baby, gone through the sometimes never ending labor and now your at home. Well, at this point everyone is coming over to see the new arrival and trying to help out. Take it all!!! But, do set limits as to how many people you want around and what times they should be there. I say this because, not only can that add to your stress, but it can also stress your child. Also you if someone sounds sick or is sick, politely ask them to go home or to stop by at another time. This is for your health as well as the baby.
Step2
When visits have stopped, take time to get to know yourself and your baby. You are a whole new person now not only physically, but mentally. Also in getting to know your new one in the house isn't hard at all. Listen to what he or she has to say, by listening to each one of their cries. Every cry is different and can tell you whether or not they are hungry, tried, or even board. Also this is pretty much when the "Baby Blues" hit, it's also when postpartum depression come to most women. Just know that you can get through it and if things get to out of hand seek help imediently!!
Step3
Sleep or relax when your baby sleeps!!!!! Everyone told me this and it is true down to the last word!!! Even if you don't feel tried, go and relax. As time goes on and you can get in to some sort of routine, but for the time being let you house get a little messy.
Step4
If you ever feel overwhelmed, don't ever be afraid to ask for help. Surround yourself with a support group or if you want join a newborn group. Here you can learn from other mom's and get wonderful tips. There are also tons of groups online such as Cafe Mom.
