Things You'll Need:
- Shampoo
- Condition
- Wide tooth comb
- blow dryer
- paddle brush (bristle bore)
- flat iron
- frizz cream
- shine spray
-
Step 1
Shampoo your hair with your favorite shampoo. rinse. repeat if necessary
-
Step 2
Add conditioner to your hair. To distribute conditioner evenly use a wide tooth comb. Leave on 1-3 minutes. Rinse with cold water to seal the cuticle and add shine.
-
Step 3
Place a towel over your hair and lightly squeeze excess water from it. Remove towel.
-
Step 4
Get your anti-frizz cream and place a quarter size into your palm, rub hands together and work the cream through your hair starting on the ends first and working your way to the root. Do not apply directly to the root. (I recommend Suave Sleek)
-
Step 5
Get the shine spray (I recommend Tresemme light shine spray) and hold it 8-10 inches from your hair. Lightly spray all over hair. Then Grab sections and spray underneath for better protection and softness.
-
Step 6
Let hair air dry for about 15 minutes.
-
Step 7
Using the paddle brush blow dry your hair in sections. Use a clip to secure the top layer of your hair at the top of the head. Make sure each section is fully dry before going onto next. Remove clip from top section and begin blow drying in smaller sections, pointing the air down to create shine.
-
Step 8
Lightly spray hair all over with the shine spray once more, then clip the top section of the hair at the top of the head. Using your flat iron you will iron your bottom section of the hair first. After all sections are flat ironed remove the clip from the top layer.
This time you will glide the flat iron UP the shaft of the hair then release and it will fall into it's natural state.
following these steps should give you soft, shiny and voluminous hair.

on 2/28/2009 Sounds like some very healpful tips for those who want to have straight hair. I guess I should be thankful that my side of the family has thick, "straight-as-a-board" hair and we can just "wash-n-go". Thanks for the nice article.
