Things You'll Need:
- Internet connection
- Credit Card or PayPal account
-
Step 1
Visit the Blockbuster web site. You can find a link to their home page in the Resource section below. Click on the Sign Up button on the home page. Usually Blockbuster will have some type of promotional plan, such as a free two-week trial.
-
Step 2
The first step is to choose the plan that you want. Blockbuster has a wide variety of dvd rental plans that range from $4 to $35 and include having anywhere from one to three movies mailed to you at a time. Depending on which plan you choose, you can have limited or unlimited movie rentals and in-store exchanges per month. Be aware that the more "unlimited" you go, the more expensive it will be.
-
Step 3
Next up, you’ll enter your general account information; such as your shipping address and billing. You have the option of using either a credit card or PayPal. Blockbuster will automatically deduct the monthly payment from your account.
-
Step 4
Once you’re account is set up, you are ready to start putting dvds in your queue. You can browse for movies by using the search box at the top of the screen or by using any of the drop-down menus. Selections include categories, collections, new releases, award winners, and your recommendations.
-
Step 5
Once you have found a movie that you would like delivered to you, click on the Add button beneath the display picture to add the movie to your queue. Alternative, you can click on the display picture to get detailed information about the film if you want to know more about it before you rent it.
-
Step 6
Notice the My Queue box to the right of the screen. Your queue is what holds all of your movie selections. If you click on the “See All Movies in Queue” link, you will get a full list of what movies you have selected and will be shipped to you. You can also delete and arrange the movies in your queue to your liking.
-
Step 7
Your queue will list what movies you currently have out as well as what movies will be shipped to you next.
To change the order of the movies you want to receive, simply change the number under the “Order” column to the chronological order of your choice and click “Update Queue”. To delete a movie from your queue, check the corresponding box under the “Delete” column and again click on “Update Queue”. -
Step 8
Sit back and wait for your movies to arrive! Once you have watched the first set of movies, just pop them back in the mail and wait for the next dvd(s) to arrive! For me, it takes on average two days for the next dvd in my queue to show up in my mailbox.
