All working mothers know how difficult it is to leave a new baby after 6 weeks of maternity leave. This country does not cater to families as much as others do and for the most part we have to go back to work to help support our families. Below are some tips to help you get through this tough transition

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Patience
  • A picture of your little one
  • Smiles
  • Friends and Family for support
  1. Step 1

Take a deep breath, its going to be okay

  2. Step 2

If possible leave your munchkin with a friend or family member. If this is not an option, research childcare options such as in house childcare, a Tutor Time type place, or churches.

  3. Step 3

Make sure you have his/her picture with you at all times. Whether it be in your phone or on your desk.

  4. Step 4

Make several calls throughout the day to the babysitter for the first couple of weeks or until you feel better. Just to make sure your little one is okay.

  5. Step 5

Rush to that car at the end of the day and get home to see her!

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember, you are going home at the end of the day and there will be a happy smiling face waiting for you
  • Also remember you are back to work to help support this tiny person that needs you
  • Make the best of your time with your baby(play, read, bathe) when you are together
  • Take more pictures so you have different one to take to work
  • Leaving a new baby home all day is not easy but you WILL get through it
