1. Vuse.com offers indie music videos, films, sports and some mature content. Most of them are free and some you can rent for a buck or two.
   You can also download games and play for free for an hour without having to pay.
   
   Vuze will save everything so you can find it easily later.
   
   Vuse also offers a way that you can upload your own videos and then offer them for free or collect a percentage of the revenue generated by ads or just sell outright.
2. Blinkx Broadband Television takes content from all over the Web, such as feature films, dramas, short films, and comedy sketches you typically might find only on PBS and it's commercial free. The menu is organized into six categories, like entertainment, news, and sports and subcategories, like animation and comedy.
3. Joost's is probably the easiest to use and the most well known. It has a stand-alone player and is like a TV that you switch on then it automatically streams the channels. Joost's programming has older programs and music videos, cartoons. They do have commercials but they are no more than 30 seconds long.
   
   With Joost, and what makes it cool, is that you can open a chat window, email, send IMs via Google Talk and even post a blog entry about what you're watching.
4. Babelgum's has 64 channels which are PBS, the Drive In Movie Channel and Paranormal TV, and nonfiction news clips, documentaries, and short independent films. But, you don't just watch tv, you can join communities, rate videos, make favorites, add them to your blog, or add them to your Facebook page.
5. Veoh is very popular as you can search shows by tag or title and just like TiVo, Veoh will recommend what to watch based on what you have been watching. Because they get videos from Google, Hulu, Yahoo, and YouTube they have over 500 channels. You can find older movies and older tv shows on Veoh that will make a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon wisk away.
6. Although you can't watch the new season of Lost on webcast tv, you can save yourself up to $100.00 a month by canceling your satellite or cable tv subscription. Only you can decide which one is more important.
