A pimiento (pimento) cheese sandwich is an easy, quick and delicious sandwich that you can make in no time at all. It is also a good type of sandwich to prepare ahead of time and take with you. Pimiento (pimento) cheese is traditionally a southern food, common to the cuisine of the U.S. South. Although some people are known to eat pimiento (pimento) cheese by itself, most people eat it on sliced bread in sandwich form, or spread on crackers, or sometimes spread down the middle of a piece of celery. There is also probably some debate as to how to prepare pimiento (pimento) cheese. Nevertheless, this article will show you how to quickly prepare a delicious pimiento (pimento) cheese sandwich!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • jar of diced pimientos (pimentos), drained
  • mayonnaise
  • dash of black pepper
  • slices of sandwich bread
  1. Step 1

    The first step to making the pimiento (pimento) cheese for you pimiento (pimento) cheese sandwich is to mix the shredded cheddar cheese with the jar of pimientos (pimentos) in a bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Now add enough mayonnaise to the cheese and pimientos to hold it all together (just as you would if making chicken salad), and then the dash of black pepper. Make sure all this is mixed through thoroughly.

  3. Step 3

    Finally, spread the pimiento (pimento) cheese onto a slice of bread and top with another slice of bread to form the pimiento (pimento) cheese sandwich. Enjoy!
