While you're on a vacation, you'll want to have peace of mind that your salamander is taken care of. There are easy steps to follow to be sure that this happens.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Petsitter or reliable friend/family
Step1
Hire a petsitter through your yellow pages or through references from friends. If you can't find a petsitter, ask friends/family.
Step2
Inform the person watching your salamander that your pet will eat insects, worms, and small fish and show them which ones and how.
Step3
Inform your petsitter to feed your salamander four to seven days a week at night. Salamanders are nocturnal. Remove uneaten food in the morning.
Step4
Tell your petsitter about how to take care of the tank to ensure your salamander stays safe.
