      Navigate to and click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop. Depending on how you have your desktop set up, it may be in any portion of your screen.

      Scroll down until you find the "C:" prompt in the new window that generates, and double-click on this. A new window will open with more information inside that you will have to navigate through.

      Look through the files, not folders, and find the one towards the bottom of this window that says "Registrybkup.re" and double-click on the icon. This will now open a small gray window, and at the bottom you should click on "Yes" to begin the restore process.

      Click on "Yes" to restart your computer for the new changes to take effect when prompted to do so. Your registry is now backed up, and you no longer need to worry about corrupt registry files due to viruses.
