Instructions

    • 1

Trap them. Just as you would trap other pesky animals around your house, trap the pigeons in a cage. Use bird seed to lure the pigeons into the trap then remove them from your carport. Take them somewhere far from your house, so that they will not return.

    • 2

Get an owl. Pigeons are afraid of owls and will not come into your carport if they think an owl is in the carport. Rid yourself of the pesky birds by buying a fake owl and perching it in your carport.

    • 3

Throw water on them. Although you shouldn’t use so much water that you will harm the birds, getting the birds wet will make them leave your carport. Throw a bucket of water on them or spray them with the hose repeatedly until they leave.

    • 4

Spray the area with WD-40. Although this spray will not harm the pigeons, it will cause them to go away. Pigeons do not like the smell of the product and will not land in your carport if it smells like the product.

    • 5

Use metal. Pigeons do not like the shine that comes from metal, and they will avoid your carport if there is metal in it. Hang pie tins or old CDs from your carport to keep the pigeons out.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not harm the pigeon while trying to remove it from your carport. Pigeons are protected by federal law, and hurting one can result in prosecution for you if you do so. Use humane tactics to remove the birds and to prevent any trouble from the law.
