How to Draw Diamond Shaped Eyes

There's a variety of different eyes that can be drawn for all cartoon characters ranging from marvel comic book heroes, to manga and Disney characters. These eyes come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be very highly stylized. But no matter how complex the eyes, these eyes always follow basic geometric shapes.

Things You'll Need

• Drawing pencil
• Drawing paper
• Pencil eraser

Instructions

1. 

   Draw a diamond.

2. 

   Draw the lower eyelid as a curve that travels along the bottom part of the diamond and slants slightly upwards on both ends.

3. 

   The top eyelid is almost shaped like the top part of the diamond, but is rounded at the top and doesn't reach the height of the diamond.

4. 

   Draw the eyelids as curving lines extending from the outer edges of the eyelids. Draw a circle for the cornea that fills most of the eye.

5. 

   Draw a thin curving line above the eye. Erase the diamond guidelines.

• The cornea can be resized, colored and shaded.
