How to Put Pictures on a Music CD

Burning a CD of photos is a great way to back up the pictures that mean most to you. Using the following simple steps, you can easily and efficiently save your digital pictures to a CD in a matter of minutes.

Things You'll Need:

• Computer
• Recordable CD (CD-R)

1. 
   CD-Rs

   Insert a blank recordable CD (CD-R) into the CD-ROM disk drive of your computer.

2. 
   Computer

   Open the digital photo program you use on your computer.

3. Select the photos you want to place on the CD-R. Click and drag individual photo files (or groups of pictures using Shift+Select) to the CD-R icon located on your desktop. Or right-click on individual photo files and select "Save As" to save them to the CD-R.

4. Select a program to burn the CD-R. Once you have placed the pictures you want on the CD-R, use the CD burning program installed on your computer to burn the disc and save the photos.

5. Select the "Burn CD" option (or similar, depending on your burning program) to burn the CD-R.

6. Choose "Eject CD" (or similar option, depending on your burning program) once the CD-R has finished burning. Your photos have successfully been saved to disc.

Tips & Warnings

• Research burning programs before saving photos to a disc. Different computers typically come with pre-installed programs like iTunes and Roxio. Read the FAQs before attempting to burn.
• Use only CD-Rs when saving photos to disc. Don't use CD-RW (rewriteable) discs when saving photos. Files can be erased from these discs.
