Hawaiian culture abounds with unique sounds, music and dance. The hula is a key part of Hawaii and is compulsory in public education. As a result, there's lots of hula shows to see and you don't always have to purchase a ticket or eat a meal to see one.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Go to Lahaina Cannery mall for the free hula shows. Keiki (children's hula) and adult hula dancers both perform at regularly scheduled times. Eat lunch or dinner at one the restaurants at the food court and take a seat to view the show. See the link in Resources to check current times for shows.
Step2
Head to Whaler's Village for an evening hula show. Again, it's free and you can have dinner at the food court, the Hula Grill or Leilani's after the show or just shop at the great array of stores. See the link in Resources to check current times for shows.
Step3
Go to the Old Lahaina Luau if you want an authentic hula experience. Considered one of the best shows on Maui, the Old Lahaina Luau is frequently sold out well in advance, so use their website (see Resources) or your concierge to book your tickets.
