Instructions

    • 1

Apply makeup foundation first. Use an under-eye concealer if needed.

    • 2

Draw a soft line, starting at the inside corner of your eyelid, using your eyeliner pencil. When you reach the outer corner of your eyelid, continue the line past the end of your eyelid following the natural line of your eyelashes when your eyes are closed. Create a subtle cat eye look by extending the line just a short distance, about an eighth of an inch, or make a longer line for a more dramatic look.

    • 3

Smudge your eyeshadow over the top of the soft line you just made. Use a cotton swab, if needed, to create a smoky look.

    • 4

Layer another line of eyeliner next to your top eyelashes using your eyeliner brush. Make the line narrow at the inner corner and increase its width as you move to the outer corner of your eyelid. Make the line as thick as you like, but it’s safer to start narrower. Extend your eyeliner line along the length of your lashes and onto the cat eye line.

    • 5

Soften the harsh eyeliner line by applying some more eyeshadow alone the top edge of it. Smudge it with a cotton swab, if needed. Blend the eyeshadow all the way up to the crease in your eyelids.

    • 6

Use a light-colored highlighting eyeshadow on your brow bones. Cream or white usually works best.

    • 7

Stroke your eyebrow pencil along your eyebrows, following their natural curve. This will make your brows and cat eyes stand out more.

    • 8

Brush mascara lightly along your eyelashes. Use an eyelash curler first, if needed. Apply several coats if desired.
