How to Tell If the Guy You Love Really Loves You

The male of our species is oh so hard to read. Most of the time, they will leave you reeling with questions. While there is no definite formula to knowing for sure, there are some ways to find out if he really loves you or is just messing around.

1. Read his body language. Aside from asking, guys have some telltale signs that they are in to you. They may become a bit shy or intimidated when you are around. If he laughs at your jokes (even when they are…less than hilarious), teases you playfully, or makes excuses to touch you, he probably likes you. But if he does all these things AND demonstrates a real interest in you and your life, he most likely loves you.

2. Do not be afraid to ask for a friend's opinion. Just remember, your friends cannot be the gospel truth on the matter. However, it is possible that an outsider’s point of view can give you some real perspective on the situation.

3. Listen to your instincts. The biggest tell in whether a guy loves you is yourself. It is possible your brain is telling you something that your heart cannot see.

4. Try asking him. Of course there is some risk of rejection or embarrassment if he says no. What’s worse is that he could be a bit put off by how direct your approach was. But there is also the possibility that he is just really shy and needs you to make the first move. Your frame of reference in this case should be based on how well you know him and what he is like before diving head first into such a to-the-point conversation.

5. Try expertly twisting the conversation should he say no. If rejection is what you are afraid of, you could always play it off as a joke and try to laugh it off.

6. Follow your heart but also be logical in determining where you stand in the matter. If he loves you, he will show it and you will know it.
