How to Make Bandana Necklaces
-
1
Iron or spread out your bandana, so there are no wrinkles.
-
2
Use your tape measure to measure a two to three inch strip. Mark your measurements carefully with a piece of chalk, so you have a straight edge. If you want a thinner necklace, measure a two inch strip of the bandana. The strip should be along the longest side of the bandana to give your necklace enough length to fit comfortably around your neck. Cut on your chalk line.

3
Soak your strip of bandana in water. When it is saturated, roll it tightly into a cylinder. Your bandana necklace should fit around your neck, so think about the length when you are rolling it.
-
4
Let the bandana dry. If you feel it is getting loose, you can put rubber bands on the ends to help hold it together while it dries. Rubber bands may leave indentations in the bandana, so put them on the ends where you will be securing your necklace around your neck.
-
5
String beads on the bandana necklace if you would like. Beads will also help hold your necklace together and keep it secure for a longer period of time.
-
6
Place your bandana necklace around your neck, and secure it with a safety pin or some other sort of necklace clasp. If you have a very thin neck, or you use more than one strip of bandana, you may be able to tie the necklace around your neck.
