    Things You'll Need

    • Coffee percolator
    • Coarsely ground coffee
    • Stove top or camp fire
      • 1

Determine how many cups of coffee you would like to make.

      • 2

Pour this amount into the urn of the percolator.

      • 3

Place 1 tbsp. of coarsely ground coffee grounds per 1 cup of water in the basket of the percolator.

      • 4

Place this basket into the urn and heat on the stove top. Percolating coffee is also a great choice for suspending over a campfire and heating to a boil.

      • 5

Heat the water until it boils. When the water boils, it will push through the coffee grounds and the water will begin to brew. This brewing process takes about 5 to 7 minutes.

      • 6

You can gauge how strong the coffee is by viewing the brewing of your coffee through the glass dome of your percolator. The darker it gets, the stronger it gets.

      • 7

Remove the basket full of coffee grounds from the urn and pour to enjoy.
