Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Camera
  • Computer and colored printer
  • Construction paper or scrapbook paper
  • Glue sticks
  1. Step 1

Make a zoo book. Spend a day at the zoo taking photos of an alligator for the letter "A" and a zebra for the letter "Z" (as well as everything in between). Print out the photos and allow you child to adhere them to construction paper. Tie all pages together by using a hole puncher and colorful yarn.

  2. Step 2

Make a family album. Use your scrap booking creativeness and create a family photo album highlighting the ABC's. It might be difficult to find 26 family members that represent each letter of the alphabet, but look around and you will find places and things to fill in the missing letters. For example, if you cannot find a person whose name starts with "W," but Uncle Earl builds things with wood, take a picture of "Uncle Earl working with Wood." If you do not have a family member that has a name that starts with a "Z," take a picture of "Grandpa catching some zzzzz's during his afternoon nap." This ABC book idea would be a great tool to use if your child does not live near family.

  3. Step 3

Find color pages. Finding color pages online is very easy to do. You can either allow your child to color the pages or print them in color. You can either add your child's favorite character to an oversized letter with the aid of a print shop computer program, or you can make an alphabetical list of cartoon characters.

  4. Step 4

Cut out magazine pictures. Go through your magazines and assist your child cut out picture of objects that start with each letter of the alphabet. It would be a cute idea if you would ask your child to describe the picture and write the descriptions on the page.
