Planning a cruise vacation can be both fun and stressful. There are plenty of things to think about, such as a trip itinerary, flights, food options, and pricing. If you wish to book a flight and cruise together, you may spend hours upon end searching for the best package deals. Learn how to book a flight and cruise without losing your mind before your next getaway.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Begin early. Tourists book cruises plenty of months in advance and in order to secure the best deals, you should start your search early.

  2. Step 2

Visit travel websites. Think Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity. Not only can you look at flights and cruise deals, you can typically find great savings when you book special packages designed to save you money.

  3. Step 3

Check out a cruise ship website. Norwegian, Princess, and Disney Cruises all have their own travel websites designed for the tech-savvy web surfer. Most any major cruise line should offer a website where booking your vacation is made simple.

  4. Step 4

Book a flight to an airport within close proximity to your cruise launch site. You can typically take a van or taxi to the marina or harbor where the ship departs.

  5. Step 5

Up your limit on your credit card. By the time you're finished booking a cruise itinerary and airplane tickets, you may have racked up a grand total larger than you originally intended to.

  6. Step 6

Call a travel agency. If you love the tropics, call a Caribbean travel agency. If you love the cold weather, dial an Arctic agency.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always know when and where your cruise ship departs from. Be there early if you want to get all of your luggage on the ship.
  • Never lose your trip itinerary or boarding passes. The ship could end up leaving without you.
