To be able to find and use your jewelry, it is important to keep it neat and organized. Many people opt to use a jewelry box for this purpose. Many times jewelry becomes tangled and it is not easily found when it is put into a jewelry box. The easier way is to use a jewelry holder that also displays your jewelry. A wooden jewelry holder for your wall is great way to store and display your jewelry to make your jewelry easy to use and find.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 Wooden cutlery tray
  • 4 Pieces of scrap booking paper
  • 1 Pair of scissors
  • 1 Container of glue
  • 5 to 6 Screw eye hooks
  • 1 Picture wall mount kit
  1. Step 1

Cut each piece of scrap booking paper to fit each compartment of the wooden cutlery tray. This will be the background that the jewelry will hang against. Choose colors of paper that compliment the decor of the room in which it will be hanging.

  2. Step 2

Glue the paper into each compartment. Use a glue that works with paper as well as wood to make sure the paper will stick to the tray.

  3. Step 3

Attach two to three screw eye hooks to each compartment. Vary the space between the hooks to accommodate different types of jewelry. Use the top horizontal rectangle for earrings. The longest section of the wooden tray works best for necklaces.

  4. Step 4

Attach a wall mount for a picture frame to the back of the wooden tray. A simple nail mount works best for a display that will be light.

  5. Step 5

Hang the wooden jewelry holder on the wall in a convenient place. Place items of jewelry that you most often wear on the eye hooks.

Tips & Warnings
  • All items needed to make this project can be found at a local craft store or the craft department of a local department store.
  • This wooden jewelry holder also makes a great gift.
  • Do not over load the eye hooks with jewelry. If you find that you need more room, make another wooden jewelry holder and hang it next to the first one. It will look like all one unit. Over loading the hooks will cause the wooden jewelry holder to fall off the wall.
