Things You'll Need:
- 2 pounds of lean hamburger
- 2 cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 2 cans of French-Style Green Beans
- 1 8 oz bag of shredded cheese
- Mashed Potatoes, real, microwavable OR instant.
- Medium to large frying pan
- 13 X 9 Baking dish
- Can Opener
- Hungry People
-
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
-
Step 2
In a medium size frying pan, separate and brown hamburger completely. Hamburger should be completely crumbled. Drain grease.
-
Step 3
In the same frying pan, empty both cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup. Mix well with the hamburger.
-
Step 4
Empty the mixture into a 13 X 9 rectangular baking dish and spread evenly.
-
Step 5
Drain the liquid from the two cans of French Style Green Beans and put a layer of green beans evenly over the hamburger mixture in the baking dish.
-
Step 6
Using either pre-made mashed potatoes, instant mashed potatoes, or microwavable mashed potatoes, cover the layer of green beans in the baking dish. The amount of mashed potatoes can vary, depending on how much you like. I find that a nice, thick layer of potatoes is delicious and more filling.
-
Step 7
Sprinkle the top of the potatoes with shredded cheese (any variety is probably fine, but I use cheddar or sharp cheddar).
-
Step 8
Add a little salt and/or pepper to taste.
-
Step 9
Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted.
-
Step 10
Remove pie from the oven and let it cool for between 5 and 10 minutes.
-
Step 11
Cut and serve!!
