1
Decide on a purpose, design and theme for your clubhouse. This will help to determine the size of your clubhouse, the décor and the items you’ll need to furnish it. It will also help you to allocate money and procure the materials necessary to build. Therefore, decide whether it is for your card games, your wife’s kitty parties or a fun place for your kids and their friends.

2
Measure the area for clubhouse. This is the area you wish to build your clubhouse in. Take final measurements, and then jot them down on grid paper.
-

3
Draw a top view diagram of the area. Use the grid paper squares to obtain a precise diagram to scale. For example, one square is equal to one square foot. Therefore, if the area you measured earlier is 20x20 feet, your diagram will cover 400 squares. Now, incorporate your intended clubhouse design into the diagram.
-
4
Finalize clubhouse height. To measure height, stretch your arm above your head. The ideal height will be about six inches to a foot from the tips of your fingers of your raised arm. Include the final height measurement along with the length and breadth of your clubhouse into your grid paper diagram.
-
5
Determine floor ceiling measurements. To calculate these measurements, multiply the bottom line measurement of any room within your clubhouse by itself. For example, if that room has a bottom line of five feet, your floor and ceiling measurement should be 25 feet or 25 squares on your grid paper diagram.
-
6
Gather all of the materials for your clubhouse. When you have your final diagram, prepare a list of materials you’ll need to fit the final dimensions of your clubhouse. This will also depend on the purpose the clubhouse is meant for, as well as the internal theme and design you have in mind. You can easily source building materials and relevant construction tools from a local hardware store. You may also select useful scrap material from a scrap yard.

Start the construction work. Build a wooden floor platform using treated timber wood sheets joined to each other. Then you will erect vertical treated timber wood support pillars inserted in nine-inch concrete base footings. This will provide the strength to bear the weight of the roof, walls and other structural elements of your clubhouse. Construct the roof using suitable lengths of treated timber wood beams. Then install suitable all-weather, roof-covering material.

Finally, paint or polish all wooden surfaces using waterproof material for the same. Allow time for drying before adding furniture and other thematic decorative items that match the purpose your clubhouse is intended for.
