How to Thank a Wedding Party

As the "big day" approaches, the bride and groom will reflect on all those people who helped throughout the process. Aside from the actual wedding party, these people could be parents, siblings, grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors, co-workers. The list goes on and on. To show appreciation, there are many things the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. can do to thank their bridal party and extended participants. The instructions below illustrate a few ways to do so without spending a lot of money.

• List of people involved
• Venue - church basement, park or home with spare room
• Planned activities - try wedding-themed games
• Food - "pot luck" style or easy large group items (chili, sloppy joes, soup)

Instructions

1. Make a list of all the people who played an integral part in your wedding celebration. Make sure you make notes of what they did to help. This will play a role in a later step.

2. Pick a venue to hold the thank you celebration. A few examples are: the spacious home of a friend or family member (or your own), a park or a church basement. Call and reserve the space for a Friday night or Saturday afternoon.

3. Send out invitations. Make sure you include that the food is "pot luck" style or have them bring their own drinks and a desert to share.

4. Plan games or activities that will allow people to get to know one another and which includes the entire group.

5. Prepare food and organize the venue.

6. Introduce everyone and tell what each person did to make your wedding day an awesome occasion. Everyone will appreciate the acknowledgement and you will be giving them the credit they deserve. Have fun with the your family and friends. After all, they love you!
