How to Acquire General Tristan in Ogre Battle

Although many of the people in the world of Ogre Battle believe that General Tristan was slain by the evil prince Gares, he lives still in the city of Malano and can be acquired as a playable character. One of the very few units that has the powerful "General" character class, Tristan can become the backbone of any leaders army who has been following the path of good and keeping a high reputation.

Things You’ll Need:

• Ogre Battle SNES game cartridge
• Super Nintendo Entertainment System

1. Battle against the forces of the Zetegenian Empire and liberate all the cities of the first four areas. Keep your opinion leader's alignment as high as possible and maintain a consistently high reputation. Only liberate cities with armies that have high charisma scores and never allow an enemy unit to re-take any cities you have control of.
2. Enter the "Slums of Zenobia" area, defeat the enemy boss and liberate all of the towns.
3. Return to the Slums of Zenobia after completing the level and deploy an army to the city called Kal Robst. A woman there will tell your army that the royal prince Tristan was hidden when the rest of his family was murdered by the Empire. The woman will prove the "Key of Destiny" item for you to show to Tristan later.
4. Continue through the game following the path of good until your rebellion reaches the "City of Malano" area.
5. Move the opinion leader to the town called Bel Chelry. As long as you still have the "Key of Destiny" item and have maintained a very high reputation, General Tristan will be in the city, and he will offer his services as a warrior in your armies.

Tips & Warnings

• If you return to the Slums of Zenobia again after acquiring Tristan, the woman in Kal Robst will give your army a "Book of Good" item that can be sold off for a decent amount of money.
