They have been imprisoned for over fourteen years, and one is on death row. 1. Jessie Misskelley, Jason Baldwin, and Damien Echols have been in prison since 1993. They were all teenagers then. They were arrested and convicted of killing three eight year old boys souly based on the false confession of Jesse Miskelley, who later recanted his story. Two documentaries, Paradise Lost and Paradise Lost II, done by HBO, brought awareness about this case to a worlwide audience. Since then, a book, entitled Devil's Knot, has been published, compiling all of the information regarding the case and potential suspects. 2. They have finally been given a court date to examine new DNA and other evidence in the hopes of earning a retrial.
