How to Make Butterbeer (Easy Way)

If you're familiar at all with the world of Harry Potter, then you've heard of Butterbeer. This delightful beverage is enjoyed by many of the characters who make their way down from Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry into the village of Hogsmeade and the Three Broomsticks pub, or in the Leaky Cauldron pub in Diagon Alley in London. Well, here's a way for us Muggles to enjoy butterbeer right at home and also share with family and friends. It's quite easy to make. So, let's get started - this article will show you how to make butterbeer!

    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • 1 cup (8 oz) cream soda or root beer or club soda or ginger ale (but I prefer cream soda for my butterbeer)
    • 1/2 cup (4 oz) butterscotch syrup (ice cream topping)
    • 1/2 tablespoon butter
      • 1

The first step to making Butterbeer is to measure the butterscotch and butter into a 2 cup (16 oz) glass. Microwave on high for 1 to 1½ minutes, or until syrup is bubbly and butter is completely incorporated.

The second step in making Butterbeer is to stir and cool the mixture for 30 seconds, then slowly mix in the cream soda (or root beer or club soda or ginger ale - but I prefer cream soda for butterbeer). Mixture may be quite fizzy.
