Study For a Midterm
Study For a Midterm

When it comes to studying for midterm or any college exam in general think quality over quantity.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a space clear of distractions. Focusing is key when studying for a midterm and if you're easily distracted then this step will help you greatly. Clear everything from your study space and turn off your cell phone, computer and mp3 player.

  2. Step 2

Create a study schedule leading up to the date of the midterm. Write out what you want to accomplish each day listing the sections of reading that the midterm is covering and stick to it.

  3. Step 3

Design a study program tailored to how you learn best. Use flashcards, study guides, pictures, or if you can absorb the material just by reading it, go ahead and do that.

  4. Step 4

Don't just memorize the material, actually learn it. It will be more beneficial to you not only in the short run, but long run as well.

  5. Step 5

When studying, eat plenty of snacks and stay hydrated. This will allow your body to function (including your brain) at maximum efficiency.

  6. Step 6

Lastly, get plenty of rest. Don't pull all nighters thinking that you'll learn all the material the night before. While you might be able to get through all of the sections the midterms covering, you'll be so tired that you won't remember a thing.

on 7/16/2008 This all sounds so ideal, and when I was in college I tried to study like this. I really did. Tried I mean. Good points.
