You are what you eat (and drink!). All your food choices will show on your skin. If you are used to eating a lot of greasy foods, or if your diet is just not that healthy, your skin may give you the first signs that something is wrong.
Equally if you smoke (which clogs the pores!) or drink alcohol. Exercise moderation when drinking, and when eating greasy foods. Your skin will thank you. -
2
Wash your face twice a day. Ideally when you wake up and before you go to bed. I know that sometimes you may be too sleepy, and it's hard keeping this regimen. But you can always use those makeup removing wipes, though it is not ideal on an every day basis. Never sleep with your makeup on. This is death for your skin.

3
Keep your hands off your face!!!! If you keep touching it all the time, you're transferring bacteria to any inflammations that you may have (or you may be creating new ones), and it WILL mark your skin.
Plus, it's a disgusting habit. -
4
If you have severe acne, consult a dermatologist on the best course of action for you. But NEVER self medicate, or use something prescribed to someone else. This may give you serious health implications as well as having the potential of making your problem worse.
-
5
Use a moisturizer daily, and one that is appropriate for your skin. Apply twice a day. Remember that just because your skin feels tight, doesn't mean it's clean... it means it needs moisture!

I keep mentioning this in all my articles, but ALWAYS wear sunscreen. Every day, all seasons. This will prevent wrinkles, and keep your skin looking smooth.
-
7
Clean all your makeup brushes regularly to keep impurities at bay.
