How to Find Time for Beautiful Nails

Beautiful nails, whether painted or not, are important to maintaining a professional appearance. But with a busy schedule, keeping them presentable seems practically impossible. However, with a few quick tricks, you can keep your nails looking great.

Things You’ll Need:

• nail buffers and emery boards
• Vaseline
• vitamin E
• nail polish (optional)
• clear polish (optional)
• a little time

1. Pick up a couple of nail buffers with seven sides. You can find them at Wal-Mart for less than $3. Put one in your purse, another in your bathroom, and another in your car. If there’s other places where you frequently have down time, then slip one in there too. Then, when you’re there, file your nails. I like the seven sided buffers because you can use them to file, shape, buff, and shine your nails at the same time.
2. At night, rub in a hand lotion. If you don’t have hand lotion, Vaseline works wonderfully though it may take longer to soak in.
3. For strong healthy nails, you can either pick up a special nail oil that strengthens or you can break open a vitamin E gel capsule and rub it into your nails.
4. Press your cuticles back after a long hot shower. It will be easier to press them down, and it will hurt less. It’ll only take a few minutes.
5. To keep your nail polish from chipping, apply at least two clear cover coats. It will take time to let it dry completely, but it will make your polish last longer, which will save you time in the long run.
6. If you want to paint your nails, choose a light color as opposed to a dark one. It’ll show chips less and be easier to touch up. If you decide to do French tips, it might be a good idea to invest in a French tip pen. You can pick one up at most drug stores for under $10, and it will make touch ups easier.

• Do not try to buff your nails if you still have traces of nail polish on. It will damage your nails.
