Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
SET GOALS- be optimistic, but realistic. For example, set a goal to run your route one minute faster than last week or set a mini-goal during your workout such as running an extra block.
Step2
SHIFT YOUR FOCUS- Rather than concentrating on "I'm tired and I need to quit", concentrate on something neutral and controllable (like your abs and breathing).
Step3
USE YOUR IMAGINATION- Picture yourself racing against someone else, and winning! Your imagination can lead you on to victory.
Step4
THINK POSITIVELY- Give yourself a little pep talk during your workout about how good you'll feel and look afterwards. Praise yourself during your workout ("nice job!" or "I can do this!") and you'll enjoy your workout more.
Step5
LISTEN TO MUSIC- Music can be a great motivator, so load up your mp3 player and start moving!

on 7/27/2008 This sounds good. I already used the music thing because I can't seem to run the right speed without it, but the rest might be worth a go. Thanks.
