Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Jodi Picoult lives in Hanover, NH with her husband Tim and 3 children. She has published 15 books. The Pact and Plain Truth were made into television movies and The Tenth Circle will air this summer on Lifetime.
She is the winner of the 2003 New England Bookseller Association Award for Fiction, Alex Award from the Young Adult Library Services Association, just to name a few.
Step2
Jodi's topics are based on her technique of asking the question, What If? From that she derives topics on social commentaries and controversial issues that let's you see both sides of an issue which sometimes we don't consider.
Step3
Her topics surround family, relationships, and love. Her plots are interwoven with complex characters that are never flat. You get to know how the characters feel. Many of her books travel to the world of courtroom drama as she tackles the issues of today.
Step4
Many of her books are out in paperback, so pick up one today. My favorite is My Sister's Keeper, but all her books are great. Enjoy a Jodi Picoult book today.

on 7/16/2008 Sounds wonderful. What a great topic writer. I believe if a writer can take the most controversial issues of the day and make "you" question "your" belief system, then they are given to us as a gift. Well, all writers are but, If we do not have writers to continue this legacy of style such as Jodi Picoult's, than our world not only continues to hold predjudices but also as a world community we do not mature. Thank you so much for introducing and or reminding us of who seems to me to be a writer whose work needs to be investigated by all of us.
