Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Small glasses
- Smaller bottles of soda
- More exercise
- Need to cut down on drinking beverages
- Planning
- Determination
Step1
When you buy the drink, but the smaller bottles instead of the large economy sizes. Yes, by buying in bulk, you save money. But that money is not truly saved if it helps you to drink more than you normally might.
Now that you have the smaller bottle, put it away from you. Put it in the refrigerator instead of keeping it by your desk or wherever you are working.
Take steps to take a drink instead of just reaching out and grabbing that soda bottle.
Step2
Use smaller glasses. Replace your larger glasses with tiny ones. This helps you cut down because you have to keep getting up to refill your glass. If you use a glass that is 24 or 20 ounces, that is so much more soda that you will be drinking.
On a hot day, use a glass that is 10 ounces or 6 ounces. Honest, by using the smaller glasses you will cut down on the beverages.
Step3
Savor each drink. That is correct. Savor each sip of the beverage. Do not just slug it down in a hurry. Pretend that you are a wine taster. You probably have seen these guys and gals on television. They take one small sip at a time and they really taste the drink. So, you do that with your soda or with your ice tea. Doing this will help you cut down on your drinking and it will also let you enjoy the taste of the drink more.
These drinking tips come from experience. Once I did lose thirty pounds by using these techniques. Thirty pounds of soda and ice tea, now that is a healthy weight loss. You can do it too.
