With gas prices so high this is a must read article. I came across this a week ago and knew I had the share the info.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • internet
  • time to look over info

Step1
The website is called Mygallons. I will say a little bit about how it works. You go to the site and buy a card and prepay for you gas at a set price.
Step2
If the gas is 3.25 right now yeah I have not seen that in awhile but I am using that for an example. You pay for the gas at that price it does not matter how high the gas goes.
Step3
I think that this is a awesome program if you are willing to look into it I will place a link in the resource section to take you directly to the site. I hope this helps.

Tips & Warnings

  • I am not promising anything here it is a site I found that might be helpful to you. I do not work for the company and I do not know all the restrictions so please read the small print.
  • Many gas stations are a part of this check out the list.

on 7/22/2008 Thanks for sharing that. Wish I'd had a few of those cards a couple months ago. ;) Guess we'd better look into them now. They are predicting prices to go to $7 - $10/gal by this coming spring, if not before! OUCH!

on 7/20/2008 I never thought about the prices going down thing. But as far as I am concerned the prices are going to keep going up. Thanks for the comment!

on 7/20/2008 Thanks for sharing! I've heard of this site before and it sounds like a really good idea. The only downside I have heard of is if folks prepay for the gas and prices go down, they end up spending more instead of saving. Anyone who uses this ought to consider prepaying for the smallest amount of time offered and then renewing.
