Two ways to make your own anti-deer spray easily and cheaply!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Method One
  • - one raw egg
  • - one quart jar
  • - one spray bottle
  • - 2 tsps cayenne pepper
  • Method Two
  • - bar of Irish Spring Soap
  • - spray bottle
  1. Step 1

Method 1 - break egg in jar of water - shake well and cover loosely

Method 2 - make weak solution of soap and water, slimy but not bubbly -
    - put into spray bottle and spray liberally on plants

  2. Step 2

Method One - shake periodically and leave until solution smells vile - add the cayenne pepper and shake to mix

  3. Step 3

Method One - pour into spray bottle and spray liberally on plants

Tips & Warnings
  • - remember to respray occasionally and especially after rain
  • - remember that desperate deer will eat literally anything - the egg method though strong has, for me at least, proven more successful

on 5/12/2009 Sounds interesting. I think the pepper will be a strong deterrent. My sister used this method for bunnies. 5*s
