How to protect your plants from deer!

Two ways to make your own anti-deer spray easily and cheaply! Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Method One
  • - one raw egg
  • - one quart jar
  • - one spray bottle
  • - 2 tsps cayenne pepper
  • Method Two
  • - bar of Irish Spring Soap
  • - spray bottle

Instructions

    • 1

      Method 1 - break egg in jar of water - shake well and cover loosely

      Method 2 - make weak solution of soap and water, slimy but not bubbly -
      - put into spray bottle and spray liberally on plants

      Method One - shake periodically and leave until solution smells vile - add the cayenne pepper and shake to mix

      Method One - pour into spray bottle and spray liberally on plants

Tips & Warnings

  • - remember to respray occasionally and especially after rain

  • - remember that desperate deer will eat literally anything - the egg method though strong has, for me at least, proven more successful
