How to make Braised Venison Pepper Steaks

If you do not like the gamey taste of venison, then this recipe is for you!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Venison Steaks
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium green pepper, sliced
  • 1 pkg. brown gravy
  • 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup
  • Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Emeril's Original essence
  • 1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash onion & herb
  • 1/2 tsp garlic pepper seasoning
  • 1 C. water
  • Casserole dish (with lid)
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Step 2

    Rub Montreal Steak Seasoning onto both sides of steaks. Places steaks into casserole dish. Sprinkle Emeril's Original Essence, Mrs.Dash Onion & Herb and garlic pepper seasoning over steaks. Place sliced onions and green pepper on top of steaks.

  3. Step 3

    Mix brown gravy and onion soup together; stir in water until smooth. Pour over steaks. (Add more water if necessary to ensure steaks are covered.) Place covered casserole into oven for approximately 1 hour or until liquids starts to bubble.

Tips & Warnings
  • This dish is excellent served with buttery mashed potatoes!
